Hi,

I thought I would start a thread for us to discuss how the Pac-12 is doing in the non-conference season.

Already, there have been upsets both ways. Off the top of my head, we have:

Stanford winning at Texas, then losing to Gonzaga
ASU losing to Marquette, who then beat OSU
Colorado beating ranked Kentucky
Oregon killed ranked Michigan State tonight by 30+

I think these are just upsets involving ranked teams... Did I forget any?

Please post your thoughts about other results here, so we all can help each other keep up with other teams in the league!

Colorado's new coach is getting off to a dream start, not only winning games, but then already securing a verbal from Mykasa Robinson, a top-15 2018 player. Sure, they had an in bc her sister is already a Buff, but still!

I believe that Stanford was at home when they beat Texas.

Wide open in the P-12 from top to bottom. For the hard cores, Anyone catch enough of these games yet on tv to give an opinion of where you think each team is at in preseason?

My mistake. Thanks for the correction, wvit.

Both Stanford games at Stanford.
No way should Kentucky be ranked after all their off season loss of players and recruits

Results from today (11/25):

Bears beat USF 75-52
Colorado (over St. Francis) and Utah (over Charlotte) stay undefeated
WSU with a 15 point win over Nebraska
Stanford pounded Wichita State by 48
UCLA edged previously undefeated Toledo

Oregon took first loss 75-63 to No. 7 Mississippi State.
ASU scored 4 points in the first quarter and was whomped by No. 6 Maryland, 83-42

To me, it appears that ASU was over rated. And it appears to me that WSU was underrated.

Maryland, fifth-ranked in the country and last year's Big Ten champ, is averaging 98 ppg while giving up 50. And that is while starting two freshman guards. They play Washington State today. Good luck Cougars.

WSU played Maryland pretty tough as they lost by 10 points. Was a dead even game after 3 quarters.

Good showing by WSU!

Pac-12 with seven wins in eight contests so far today; Oregon plays Hawaii later.

WSU is obviously for real. One more tough opponent in the conference.

WSU might've won if they hadn't shot a horrendous 7-21 from the FT line.... I can only imagine the posts on their message board ;-)

Nebraska has been struggling this year, so a 14 pt win against them is less impressive.

Since Nebraska is our next opponent, they will most likely be our toughest opponent especially on their home court!

Except for Oklahoma.

Thanks. I actually meant our toughest opponent up to that date.

Stats from LY ot game in Berkeley http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=210581011&DB_OEM_ID=100

They loss their top to guards, Romeo & Theriot but return Jessica Sheppard (6' 4") who was actually their leading scorer for the team last yr 18.5ptg & she is leading them this yr too,17.8ptg. Returning also is Allie Havers (6'-5") who scored 18 pt against us LY. Though, they just got blown out by UVA yesterday 73-51. I suspect their guard play is still a wip and no doubt they can not be as fast as their 2 former guards.

Wonder if the game will be on TV or not.

Unfortunately, USC was playing without Jordan Adams tonight(a win over Long Beach State), following a torn ACL suffered by the redshirt senior in USC’s previous game (Nov. 23 vs. Portland in Anchorage, Alaska).

Adams redshirted her freshman year, after 7 or 8 games, with a knee injury.

Pac-12 looks really, really again good this year. Too bad they all have to play each other, some teams twice and maybe 3 times including conference tournament.

Was going to post it earlier but kudos to your daughter. She is starting and leading the team in minutes. At one time she was leading the Pac-12 in assist but now is 2nd with 6.86 per game. Has she adjusted to the weather in UTAH? 8-).

Thank You. Erika has adjusted very well to all things Utah including weather, and my wife and I have been there a few times. We are very proud of here. Erika missed the Pac12 Academic team last year with a 3.8 g.p.a. because she was a freshman, hopefully added minutes don't pull her grades down too much. LOL (laughing out loud)

Erika is starting pg and playing 30 minutes a game. She is starting to shoot more to go along with those assists as well. I watched USC the other day freshman Minyon Moore (from Salesian) got 15 assists vs. Sac State and wasn't a starter, she will be starting soon. There are a lot of Northern California players in Pac12 to watch.
Go Pac-12 get better.

Kookie, how does your daughter like Salt Lake city? I personally like it. Beautiful city with many mountains. And within hours of some of the best outdoors in the country. but she may not like that.

I passed thru Utah via 4 corner but never ventured into the city. Did spend sometime in Pueblo, Colorado. Spent 6 months there and a little snow but one car spin on 'black ice' was enough for me.

Erika is quite the hiker now.
SLC is beautiful. We really like it including last January's blizzard. I am from Michigan so I miss the snow.

I have been in every state and every national park in the lower 48. I think Southern Utah is the most beautiful part of the the country. The 5 parks there are amazing. Speaking of Michigan, I went to Isle Royal National Park there and is that isolated. Out that pensuila where Michigan Tech is. Salt Lake City is also only about 4 hours from the Tetons and Yellowstone.
