Kennedy Brown, starting frosh forward at OSU, is out for the year with a torn ACL. Previously, Tara Corosdale went down for the year with a hamstring injury. Probably rules out a major run by OSU in the tournament.

Clearly poor roster planning by Rueck and terrible failure to develop all of that five-star, 6'5"+ talent recruited the last few years....

Surprised some on this board have not called for his head already -- gotta remain consistent.

The big question at OSU is why 6'9" Andrea Aquino has never been cleared medically to play. Patricia Morris has not done much. But Brown was starting and playing well as a frosh before her injury, and so is Taylor Jones. After watching Rueck's previous development of Gulich and Hamblin from unknowns into solid players, we can only hope to see the same kind of future development of our own new post players next year.

They have four 6'3"+ players out due to injury/medical condition:
- 6-9 Jelena Mitrovic (#3 ranked European Recruit) - Knee Injury
- 6-9 Andrea Aquino (was a top-10 recruit at one point) - Heart Condition
- 6-6 Kennedy Brown (was top-20) - Torn ACL
- 6-3 Taya Corosdale (was top-30) - Hamstring issue

Hard to develop the tall girls when they're all sitting on the bench with injuries.

That and he has not been winning recruiting battles with other teams in the Pac-12 or nationally for what ever reason. Say what you want but Corvallis is not an easy place to recruit to.

Exactly. I sure know it wouldn't be my first choice to spend my four years. He'll have to win a couple of the recruiting battles he has in 2021 with Stanford and Oregon to remain in contention for the top-spot in the Pac over the next few years, especially with UA, Cal, USC, and many others bringing in some talented youngsters.

The one thing that is now a positive for OSU is that they have established a national profile and are drawing some players from across the nation. Their class next year has two highly-rated guard/wings from Arkansas and Georgia, and last year they got Brown from Kansas and Jones from Texas. But, of course, they will also need some successful West Coast recruiting.

Oregon State plays UCLA tonight in Los Angeles on national TV (espn2) at 6 pm.

More national exposure for Pac-12 WBB
