Contrary to what the broadcasters were saying all season, Mirkovic will be back for one more season in fall 2021 as a grad student, which Coach Crosson hinted at the beginning of this season. This will be a big boost for Cal and hopefully increase their chances of getting to the NCAA's, provided that everyone else who is not a senior stays. Potter and Houghton will not be back, but Maeder and Schrag will replace them on the roster (Hamm and Mehrten would replace Anderson and Forte, whom we lost to transfer before this season). Do you think Mirkovic will reach or surpass the 1000 career kill mark in the first game of next season? I certainly hope and think so. On the other hand, it is not clear if Smoot will stay or go, but expect the full truth to come out soon

You're not wrong. And I've met Mirkovic, and she's just one of the nicest players on the team IMO. To put it simply, she's the face of Cal Volleyball. With her coming back, Cal's chances of returning to the top half of the Pac-12 standings will certainly increase
