We lost 13-12 to them in the MPSF Finals with Valera getting thrown out on a brutality infraction.

Just left the match…very exciting…as many Cal fans as Sc fans…great win. Weinberg was in top form.
I thought the officiating was letting them stay in the game. UCLA had their hands full with Princeton but finally pulled away at the end.

Sure seemed like the officiating was a bit imbalanced...I have never seen so many exclusions away from the ball....far away.

Will be terrific to haver Valera back for the finals...he will be needed against UCLA who are no doubt smarting a little from a tighter contest than expected.

Impressive that Golden Bears got this done without Valera. Roberto V. needs to play tomorrow a half a notch below "Brutality"; perhaps at "Ferocity" or "Beast Mode" level -- to remain in the pool throughout the final match.
