...with a win today over UC Davis, 18-11. After a slow start to go down 4-2 in the first the Bears went on an 11-1 run to put it away. Bogachenko and Varro are the real deal. Along with Swadling and Flynn the Bears have a lot of scoring potential.

I only watched the second period when Cal outscored UC Davis, 5-0. I did notice that the two freshmen, Varro & Bogachenko, made 9 goals in 13 attempts (69%). I know that Varro is a center but it has Bogachenko listed as utility player. What position was she playing today? Wow-these two have a future if the Bears can hold onto them.

More often than not Varro set up at center but she scored from the 1 on a 6 on 5 set so she is versatile. Bogachemko scored mostly from the perimeter but I think she scored from center on one possession.
