Alexy and Lasco punch their tickets to Worlds in Singapore, Alexy winning the 100 free and Lasco finishing 4th to join him on the USA 400 free relay. Curry just missed out on the final this morning but had a nice swim at night to win the B-final.

Jett finishes 5th in the 200 fly, just behind alum Trenton Julian. Jett should qualify for WUGs in Germany with that swim.

Weinstein finishes 8th in the 100 free after setting 2 personal bests today in the event, and will look to qualify for Worlds in the 200 and 400 free.

Gabriel Jett swam 200 freestyle in 1:44.70 secs, which would have won a gold medal at the Olympics 2024 in Paris! In this meet, he came in second and is qualified for the world championship. Hopefully, this will lead to more success for him.

Rose also qualified after winning 50 Fly. His underwater has improved greatly this year.

Jones with a second place finish in the 200 back, booking his trip to Singapore. Weinstein wins the 200 free and adds to her lineup.

Herscu finishes a surprise 4th in the 200 breast, which should secure her first national team nomination and qualify her for WUGs.

Ugh, Rose just missed a spot last night in the 100 fly.

Incoming freshman O'Dell finishes 4th in the 400 IM and has also earned a roster spot for WUGs

Ryan Erisman's 3rd place in the 400 free narrowly misses out on a Worlds selection but he's added to the WUGs roster. Elle Scott finishes 8th in the 100 breast and solidifies a Junior Worlds roster spot.

Of note, the runner-up in the 400 free is local phenom and rising HS junior Luka Mijatovic, who trains alongside 2026 commit Tim Wu with the Pleasanton Seahawks. Mijatovic's parents are Cal alums, so the coaches are bound to be all in on his recruitment when June 15th rolls around

Weinstein finishes 2nd in the 1500 earning a 4th event for Singapore, but dropped it due to her event load (3 individuals and one relay, plus the 10k open water the week before pool swimming). Her scratch allowed Texas' Jillian Cox to earn her first entry after a difficult week with multiple 3rd place finishes to Weinstein.

Alexy ends his week as the 50 free champ and adds another event to his schedule for Singapore.

2026 commits Baylor Stanton and Albert Smelzer both qualify for their first event of Junior Worlds, Stanton earning a swim in the 200 IM and Smelzer in the 50.

Successful week for the Bears in Indy. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the international teams this summer

Clare Weinstein and Katy Ledecky finished one-two in the 200m, 400m & 800m free style events. The Cal recruit placed 1st in the shorter distance while the former Stanford swimmer bounced back in the longer swims.

Have the men's and women's 2025 Cal recruit classes been ranked, yet? It's hard for a novice fan to keep up.

A bit behind with results, but from the first 2 days of competition at Worlds in Singapore (amongst a norovirus/food poisoning outbreak impacting most Team USA swimmers to some degree)...

Destin Lasco and Jack Alexy assist the US with a bronze medal, Lasco splitting 47.6 in the prelim relay and Alexy leading off the finals relay in a 47.28.

Claire Weinstein scratched the 400 free, where she was the second US entry behind Ledecky. Word is that she was fairly ill during the team training camp in Thailand, but she remains on the start list for the 200 free prelims this evening.

Gabe Jett squeaks into the 200 free final in 8th, which takes place tomorrow morning (7/29 at 4am PDT). Dare Rose finished 12th in the 50 fly semifinal.

Lea Polonsky finished 15th in the 200 IM semifinal, and incoming freshman Silje Slyngstadli finished 29th in the 100 breast. Mary-Ambre Moluh will be racing the 100 back final tomorrow morning.

Lucas Henveaux finished 13th in the 200 free semifinal, while Robin Hanson finished 18th in prelims.

It sounds as if the results don't mean too much in Singapore. Was team USA targeted?
