Bears lead Wolverines, 13-7, at halftime. GK Fonseca looked shaky and allowed four goals in 2nd period.
Bogachenko was nearly invisible and I don't know if Varro even played.

Michigan taking over in the 3rd and outscores Cal, 6-4. Overall score: Bears 17, Big Blue 13.

Bear's defense is really soft. Wolverines are scoring consistently and could overtake us in final period.

Cal 23, UM 18. Bears outscored 11-10 in second half by Big Blue. Wolverines averaged 4.5 goals per quarter.

You nailed it. Hard to watch this defense. Six saves by Fonsecs against 18 goals against. 23 exclusions for the field defense do Fonsecagot little help from her D. Only saving grace for the Bears is the have some perimeter shooters. Virtually no offense through the center position. 23-18 final.

Cal #5 dominates the nitecap in the fog with a 14-9 victory over #4 Hawaii. Bear's GK Fonseca had a great game and the defense was much stronger.

Much better team defense against Hawaii. Hawaii will prove to be a much better team than Michigan over the season.

Indeed, that's used by Baylor not by our California Golden Bears! Or Cal Bears!

Cal defeated Fresno State. 15-11, this afternoon. Bears were soft in the fourth quarter, and allowed the Bulldogs to close the gap to only four goals. Fresno State outscored Cal, 5-1, in the final period. The HC did not use Bogachenko for the second game out of four. She appears to be the top performer on the team when she participates. Bonaguidi also DNP.

UCLA prevailed in an early morning exhibition 14-11.

The announcer mentioned that Stanford defeated Cal earlier today in an exhibition affair. It does look as if Cal
is destined for a fourth-place finish at best this season. Both UCLA & Stanford appear stronger. Bears have yet to play the Trojans. Cal has dominated the rest of the opponents that they have faced.

Cal crushes UOP, 25-9. Drakatu & Dunn tallied 7 & 5 goals, respectively. Backup GK yielded 7 Tiger goals over the final 1.5 quarters.

Next Sunday, Feb 8th, the Bears travel to Davis to face UCD (4-4).

Cal squeaks out a victory over UC Davis, 13-12. Bears led 12-7 after 3 quarters but got outscored, 5-1, in the final period.
