Looks like Noah Yanchulis has been promoted to Associated Head coach replacing the departed David Marsh. Former Bears Maya Geringer who was a grad transfer from Ohio St. has been hired as an assistant coach. They are still searching for another assistant coach.

Well-deserved promotion. The results his athletes produce speak for themselves.

I trust that Durden will find the right assistant for the program to complete the staff, one who is bought in to the team and university culture, while encouraging our athletes to find success in the pool and classroom.

My guess they probably ran it passed Claire Weinstein too and most likely she gave a firm yes or okay!

Josh Huger announced as Bucknell's Head Coach. A massive congrats and well deserved promotion.

Looks like there is now an additional associate HC opening at Cal. I trust Durden will work his magic on finding the right coaching fit for our student-athletes, as he has done with Huger, Matt Bowe (now HC at Michigan) etc

Wow think we will miss him. Wonder if former assistant coach Chase Kreitler would consider coming back?. He was outstanding at Pitt until the University decided to go into a different direction.

Kreitler is definitely a great coach and produced excelldnt results during his time both at Cal and Pitt. My understanding is that he worked with distance group at Cal, and with 2 distance coaches on staff already I don't think we need a 3rd.

Durden's been working with sprinters as of late, and Huger was doing stroke work. Ideally would like a sprint coach with success in the 100s of stroke. Unsure which coaches are still available with a month before the season starts…

Durden will find someone 'not currently available' but willing to become available for this job. The progression of assistants to head positions for Durden's stall will be too alluring.

There are lots of 2027 outstanding swimmers which a couple are outstanding ones locally. Better to get one sooner than later but of course having loss two assistants already have to get the right fit too.
