Upon a further scan of the psych sheet, I also spy Caitlin's name on it, and she's definitely in Hawaii for the winter break trip...so I guess they will go straight to Austin after Hawaii, probably fighting jet lag & fatigue :eek: Most importantly, so relieved that no one's been left behind and everyone gets to enjoy the fun training trip! :cheer

On the women's side, it's likely that Noemie's, Farida's, and Marina's swims are being dictated by their national teams. Marina has the top seed in the 100 Breast and the second seed in the 200 Breast.

Connor Green missed the Georgia Invitational, so I don't think he's close to an NCAA invite yet. Would be nice to take advantage of altitude training and racing shaved and suited if there are SCY time trials so he can maybe get an NCAA invite at the meet. Janardan's going to swim too, so he may swim a 500 free SCY time trial to get invited to NCAAs. Looks like US Swimming didn't require all female national teamers (Missy, Cierra, Pelton, Bootsma) to participate, but all the Bear male national teamers are participating.

The Bears spent time over the Winter Break to collect gently used and new goggles, caps and suits from their club teams. The gear will be donated to kids learning how to swim in Fiji, where drowning is a common threat. Goggles are considered a prized possession for the new swimmers in Fiji so they can see underwater.
