A few months ago, TNT aired a 45 minute show (link below).

Last night I took a peak at Hulu's 8 part series (link below). I ended up binge watching, up all night. No drugs, it was just good enough to keep me from falling asleep. Wow.

It's a smut subject, and I've never seen the tape. I do recall hearing about it. But, both shows were pretty damn compelling, albeit again a trash undercard issue in America.

Brings up legal and morality questions about privacy. Especially for "stars". Messed up situation for sure.

Anyways, I recommend both.

Lily James' transformation was incredible.
It's always a challenge to find actors to match people still living. Let alone one as "intimately" famous as this one.

I can't imagine a better dub. Awards surely coming.

The Hulu series was very good. If you enjoyed it, I also recommend The Curse of Von Dutch.

Didn't know that song. But I see where you were going.

A better song, and equally relevant to this thread:

My brother (life problems) was a total Crue groupie.

He followed their tours sometimes.
One time I met Mick Mars at the Huntington on Nob Hill after work in the city when they were checking in, just to keep brother company. What a drag Mars was.
Duran Duran unloaded all their guitars and stuff as we waited.

"Are you Motley Crue?"

"No, Duran Duran. (Pause) Motley Crue is here? Cool!!"

CT, The Tubes are still touring. Saw them in Agoura last month. If you have never seen them, go. Well worth it. Fee is 75, but still brings it every show, as does Roger Steen and Prairie Prince.

Start Slowly and taper off

When Vince Neil was kicked out of Motley Crue they hired another lead singer named John Corabi.

During that period Corabi rented a house (paid for by the label, I think) next door to a friend of mine in Thousand Oaks. This was in the early 1990s before I ever even met him, though.

The rest of the band would come over (on motorcycles, natch) to jam at the house sometimes.

My friend said he wasn't into Motley Crue's music, but that they would play a lot of other random stuff and that he was surprised at what good musicians they were.

That was during the time that Heather Locklear was with Tommy Lee and sometimes she would come over and hang out, too. He said that she was "out of it" most of the time, possibly drunk or high or something, and would spend a lot of time just sitting on the couch by herself.

He said he started spending a lot of time over there drinking beer with the guys until his wife put the kibosh on it and forbade him to go over anymore.

He said they were all really nice, down-to-earth, and friendly and that it was a lot of fun.

Great story.
I'd like to hear the wife weigh in on it.

"Hey, wifey, why'd you put the kabbosh on it???"
