Fellow Cal alum Wajahat Ali keeps saying Trump will never leave, and I agree he won't do it voluntarily.

Put aside the constitution, and whether the Supreme Court would sanction Trump running again.

The reason Trump won't run is that he is going to have a catastrophic health event before 2028.

If somehow he continues surviving all the Big Macs and Trump Steaks with catchup until he is 82 in 2028, he will be so obviously and scarily diminished that even the most MAGA zealots will want him to step aside.

In short, he may not even last 4 years, but if he does he will never run again because of forthcoming health problems ....

I've got $500 that says he won't make it through the next 4 years and JD Vance becomes President.

I am talking about a high probability event -- Trump suffering a natural "catastrophic health event" -- rather than a very unlikely assassination (given his ramped-up secret service protection).

Trump doesn't have the personality of a stroke candidate, he doesn't seem too stressed out on the job and is spending a whole lot of time hanging out in FL and golfing, and somehow, he's now become a tech mogul with real money in the bank, vs leverage real estate stakes, so no stressing about his finances. Stress is the leading killer, ahead of nutrition.
