I can hardly think of enough bad things to say about MBS and Saudi Arabia. And if this is my last post on BI, you can pretty much figure that they tracked me down and I am dismembered in a suitcase somewhere.

BTW, we're just talking about the dismembering, but that's only the tip of the iceberg. What I would do with a country like that is to pretty much ignore them. When they eventually run out of oil reserves, they can be the next Yemen.

The US$ was collapsing in the early 70s, largely due to the gold reserves and gold standard not keeping up with US government spending, especially for the Vietnam War. So the Nixon administration, led by Kissinger, switched to the Petrodollar, pegging the currencies of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States to the US$, and forcing them to sell their oil exclusively in US$, in exchange for protection to the sheiks ruling these countries. When Japan, India, S. Korea or Germany buy Saudi oil, they have to sell their currency to buy US$.

This is pretty much one of the main economic tools that has kept the US economy and American living standards afloat. So you're not ignoring these countries anytime soon...

I wouldn't worry to much about AI. One of my friends was asking AI to create a video explaining how radar works and got back a video full of death rays and huge explosions. It was hysterically funny.
