I thought In N Out would be significantly cheaper in Tennessee

Tennessee just got its first In N Out, 25 miles outside of Nashville.

I'd thought it would be significantly cheaper because it's a red state, where they don't have the $20 minimum wage for fast food workers (In N Out obviously pays for more than that.)

Here's the menu.

Now here's the menu at the Hollywood In N Out (the closest by me, though I don't live near there). This is 7 months ago, but the price is probably close. (Yes, I know prices vary by location.)

A double double, cheeseburger, hamburger and fries x 9.75% local sales tax in Lebanon, Tennessee = $16.85

A double double, cheeseburger, hamburger and fries x 9.75% local sales tax in Hollywood, California = $18.22

So you're saving $1.37 buying all that in Tennessee.

There are now La-Z-Boys with beer fridges and food cabinets built in.

Me? I'm holding out for the one I can piss and crap in, with built-in bidet and flush, so I never have to stand up and walk again.

A 300-car-long line for In-and-Out is nothing when you live in your car anyways.

Let's require Ford and GM to install bathrooms in all new vehicles by 2035.

Does this mean blue states can stop subsidizing red states? Asking for a friend.
