Alex Correia is a worldwide expert in the use of lethal force.
His video below breaks down the shooting of Alex Pretti and does so without political bias.

Cults don't end well. Think Jonestown.

I'm curious to also learn why the ICE agent pushed that woman so hard to the ground who was doing nothing but videoing the scene with her cell phone.

This definitely turned up the "heat" rather than de-escalating things.
The agent needs to be the adult in the room and temper the emotions at the scene.
This agent clearly didn't recognize that.

Poorly trained?

Why did he shove her so hard?

That's my first question.

I agree with you. It appears he should not have pushed her so hard.

Pretti, already down on the ground and suffering the effects of the pepper spray.

The agent in the black beanie and green shirt who was the shooter wasn't paying attention to Pretti.
He was focused on the 2 women.

This appears to be the beginning of a costly mistake.

None of the angles show why the ICE agent who shot Pretti chose to draw his gun.
Black beanie, green shirt.

He had just transferred something from his right hand into his left.

First question from an investigator: WHY DID YOU DRAW YOUR WEAPON?

Second question by the Investigator:

With Pretti turned and his back to you, what caused you to shoot a second time?

What went into your decision to fire your weapon a second time?

We are talking about an unarmed man being shot in the back with his knees on the ground.
The only thing that he's been holding in his hand has been his cellphone.

Cults don't end well. Think Jonestown.

Third question by an Investigator:

Why are you continuing to shoot Alex Pretti at this point?

Why do you still deem him to be a threat?

Notice the ICE Agent on the left who is hitting Alex Pretti in the face with his OC spray cannister.
He's bludgeoning Pretti with an OC cannister.

This is a highly dumb move.

Why?

Because that OC spray cannister can become an OC "grenade".

Clearly, these agents are not very well trained.

Pretti put his hand on the ICE agent's cummerbund while recording
Not a good move.

But should it have resulted in him being shot?

Alex Pretti totally on the ground and "turtled" up with his hands on the ground.
He's clearly suffering from the impact of the OC spray.

He looks like he's been totally restrained to me without any use of force necessary.

The OC spray was effective.

Cults don't end well. Think Jonestown.

Pretti's parents are still seeking justice for the murder of their son.
