UC Berkeley students concerned about transparency in CS comprehensive review process

How quickly things change. CS was an impacted major with endless job opportunities for graduates. The job market is much more challenging than only a couple years ago. It will now be much more difficult for students to be admitted to the major. Any insights from the board on this?

Isn't that becoming a worthless major now with AI around?

According to an X post by electrical engineering and computer sciences, or EECS, Chair Jelani Nelson, EECS will graduate approximately 350 students next year, down from 1,029 in 2025, with enrollments having been "slashed primarily due to the high cost of instruction."

Wow!

Cal CS grads have been getting mid-6 figure salaries fresh out of school, that was not likely to be sustainable, at least not for 1,000+ grads every year.
