Almost all the drinking I ever did in life (which was not very much) was due to peer pressure. Eventually I just developed the backbone to say "This is not for me."

Almost all the drinking I ever did in life (which was not very much) was due to peer pressure. Eventually I just developed the backbone to say "This is not for me."

I had my party phase, mixed with the peer pressure you state above. Started only drinking at special events, weddings, Christmas Eve dinner, etc. Then moved to none at all. Saved a **** ton of money and started losing weight. Never looked back after that

Although, to be fair - and I think you'd have to admit this - you could be at the Rose Bowl on Jan 1 with the Bears up by 3 touchdowns and you still probably wouldn't make any positive social connections.

I think I remember him. I don't recall if he was controversial or not, I was probably too agitated by JW's failures to win conference games.
