At the bottom of the article link you provided, there is a quick review of the evidence which will be presented at trial, which appears to be 5x as strong as the evidence against O.J. Simpson. The case should be over and done very quickly, and the only mystery is what punishment he will receive.

Are they really going to kill him?

But at the top of the article is this portion, which sounds completely insane to me:

an emerging ecosystem of popular online conspiracist creators including Kirk's former friend and employee, Candace Owens who are covering the proceedings from an avowedly biased position: that Robinson is not just innocent, but a patsy in a secret plot orchestrated by a powerful shadow cabal that includes the U.S. and foreign governments.

Nitpicky pet peeve of mine: DEI is an initialism, not an acronym (although people are starting to use "acronym" to also describe initialisms, kinda like the phrase "chomping at the bit" is now widely accepted, even though the word is actually "champing").
