I saw a news story yesterday that claimed Trump had cooled on the idea when he realized that the firing squad would be shooting a paraplegic in a wheelchair. Bad optics that.

You're not reading it correctly but it's not surprising that's what you go straight for.

We've known that? I sure haven't.

There is an important difference between Trump saying he possessed a classified document and establishing that he actually showed its classified contents to unauthorized individuals. Trump was recorded discussing what he described as classified military information at Bedminster, and prosecutors alleged he displayed classified material. Whether he actually disclosed classified contents to unauthorized people was not conclusively established in court.

1. Trump has successfully maneuvered within the court system to block his prosecutions, and

2. The SCOTUS has now effectively given given license to do whatever the hell he wants, so long as he claims that his actions were within his "official capacities". Well, all he has to do is claim everything is official.

This is the worst presentation of your case possible. The Supreme Court has ruled against Trump repeatedly, and on big cases too. Your entire argument just flew out the window. It's also not the claim you made first which is that Trump revealed military secrets.
