Yeah because he's buttering him up while he got an American home from Russian prison and they are trying to get more americans home that are in their prisons.

Oh please.

Of course he does. But we've got some insight a lot closer to home about how narcissists with power like to hear the words publicly even if they must know privately its BS. I sometimes wonder if it morphs from not being the truthfulness of the statement but the power play of effectively making the other person say the words.
