This is about as OFF TOPIC as I can get right now.

So, I'm flipping channels and catch an infomercial for cassettes. The first maybe 10 second bit
of song I hear sounds like Chicago with similar instrumentation but much more soul.

Gotta admit I wasn't all that familiar with B,S & T.

David Clayton Thomas had major singing chops. Unfortunately, he fronted a Jazz Rock band in an era when Rock bands were king. Had he been the lead vocalist of one of the good Rock bands of the time, everyone would know his name.
