Portal Visitors - First wave
These are the folks visiting today and tomorrow - there will be a second wave of visitors on Friday.K Ryan Coe - UNC: 247 Portal Ranking = 80The already committed graduate transfer brings a big leg and a strong track record to Berkeley. Played sparingly last year, making 3 of 4 FGs with 9 Kickoff touchbacks in 12 attempts. He's a near 80% lifetime FG kicker with 100% accuracy on his XPs and is perfect from beyond 50 yards (1 for 1)WR - Tyrin Smith, UTEP: 247 Portal Rating = N/AThe 5'7, 170 speedster racked up 123 catches for 1800 yards and 12 TDs across three seasons for the Miners. He committed to Texas A&M at this time last year before reconsidering and then was hurt in UTEPs in the fourth game of 2023. OT - Junior Uzebu, Vanderbilt: 247 Portal Rating = 80A 6'6, 305 Right Tackle who has played across four seasons at West Virginia and Vanderbilt. He played in 12 games in 2022, starting 5 before earning the starting job in 2023. He was subsequently hurt in Vandy's first game of 2023Edge - Isaiah Hastings, Alabama: 247 Portal Rating = N/AThe huge 6'4, 290 DE/Edge was a highly touted but very raw HS recruit out of Canada. Blessed with an 84" wingspan and a very quick first step, his upside is high. He played in only one game at Bama in his true freshman year and will be a RS Sophomore in 2024. TE Michael Trigg - Ole Miss - 247 Transfer Portal = N/AThe former big WR recruit, grew into a 6'4, 245 TE at USC before transferring to Ole Miss, where he played in ten games, getting 21 catches for 221 yards and 4 TDs. He left Ole Miss earlier this year in September. He caught seven passes for 107 yards and a TD for USC. He is a high level athlete who was a big time basketball player in HS. He can really move and run. RB Deion Hankins - UTEP, 247 Transfer Portal = N/AThe big power back from UTEP is 6', 225 and a 6th year Senior. He's been productive with 548 carries, 2600 yards and 23 TDs.ILB/OLB Aiden Sullivan - Butte CC: 247 Recruiting Rating = N/AThe athletic and versatile 6'1, 215 JC recruit has offers from Oregon State, Washington State, Wyoming, San Diego State and Cal. He was hugely productive averaging nearly 7 tackles per game with 37 career TFLs (1.5 per game), 7 PBUs, 3 INTs and a forced fumble. He's run an electronic 4.55 40 time.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Bear Insider rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Bear Insider Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Bear Insider readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Cal and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Cal and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
