Bears Add 2nd Commit to 2021 Class in Alajiki
Cal adds 6-7/225 St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ) SF Sam Alajiki with his commitment this morning, joining Bishop O'Dowd guard Marsalis Roberson
Recruiting Update
Look for Marsalis Roberson to give Cal his pledge during the early signing period. He's not going to wait for Stanford Admission and is very comfortable at Cal and with Coach Fox. This is a 75% confidence projection so pretty high. The other win was about a delay. Cal was able to convince top 40 Power Forward DaRon Holmes to wait until the Spring to sign. That's great news for the Arizona native who today is an Arizona Wildcat lean. He's been vocal that he'd like to see all four of his teams perform on the court this year before deciding. He's down to California, Arizona, Marquette, and Dayton. That gives the Bears, who should be much improved in the 2020-21 season a puncher's chance. Not only via good play on the court but also with the pending investigations into Sean Miller at Arizona.Sam Alajiki, and Bryce Hopkins are both bigger wing players who Cal is recruiting hard. There are likely a few big men on the big board for Coach Fox that are not yet public. Look for Cal to sign at least three players in the 2021 class.
