Coin tossJason Johnson - The crazily underrated DL visited LSU last weekend and is at Texas this weekend. He wants to decide in mid July. He really likes Cal, though the allure of the bluebloods and the risk that they can offer more in NIL looms. Hard to handicap but cautiously optimisticBrayton Feister - My gut tells me he's headed elsewhere. Cal likes him and feels good about him, so we will see how things shake out. Sam LeJeune - I'm little surprised he hasn't committed to Florida State. My guess is he has concerns about the coaching staff's job security and FSU as a program overall, however, I think he knows Cal is not a culture fit for him or his family and the distance is a factor. My guess is he ends up somewhere else than FSU but not Cal

Hayden Stepp was at Oregon this week and there's no sign that he committed while there so we expect to see him in Berkeley tomorrow for his Official Visit. He had planned to take an UV to Georgia as well though they are perceived to be in fourth place in what's expected to be a choice between Alabama, Oregon and CalDaJohn Yarborough was in Tallahassee to visit Florida State. Reports are that he had a good time but again did not commit. He plans to visit UW this weekend and has said he will announce his choice on July 11th. A bit murky to project him but I tend to believe Cal is currently ini the leadSam LeJeune was with Yarborough visiting the Seminoles. He did not commit but raved about the trip and that his family saw the fit with Florida State. He cancelled his visit to LSU and will choose between FSU and Cal. The Bears are likely behind at the moment, however, he has concerns about the stability of the coaching staff at FSU and whether that persuades him before he commits or becomes a catalyst for him to change his mind during the season is to be seen. Expect him to announce soon.Amaziah Siale was in Baton Rouge and LSU put a full court press on him, telling him he is the #1 player on their OL board. He clearly had a great time and there was some noise that he might cancel his upcoming visit to Texas and choose between LSU and the Bears. He's an interesting case as he went from under recruited to getting tons of love from a lot of bluebloods. He's from SoCal and like most polys makes family a priority making distance from home an issue.Jason Johnson was also at LSU and he apparently was really impressed. Given he didn't commit while on his OV to Cal and the proximity of Baton Rouge to Houston as well as the Tigers blueblood status doesn't leave me with a good feeling here. Uhila Wolfgramm was at Utah today. Nothing to report here, this visit felt more perfunctory for the Utah native. The big visit for him is this upcoming weekend to BYU. As we've said before we expect this to come down to the Cougars and Cal.Zion White cancelled his UW visit, making his trip to Cal tomorrow his last OV. I feel good about where the Bears sit with him
