Friday's Visitor List
This is the best list of visitors for a Spring weekend that I can ever remember. Long list and full of elite prospects. Some of the recruits will be at Saturday's practice, too, so you'll see them on that list, too.Commitments -Gunnar Perry: Linebacker - The '27 verbal and brother of Cooper Perry is spending the weekend in BerkeleyOffers out - Hayden Stepp: Cornerback - This 5-Star Las Vegas native has offers from everyone and is doing a circuit of non official visits including this weekend's stop at Cal.Isaiah Bertola: Offensive Line - The former Hawaii teammate of JKS is a highly touted fourth star and is a priority for Cal. While he has upwards of 20 offers (Oregon, USC, Auburn, etc), Bertola has only scheduled an official to Berkeley and could pull the trigger this weekendMyles Smith: Edge - A 4-Star Michigan product, Smith will be tough to pry away from the Wolverines, who he visited earlier this week. Brayton Feister: Linebacker - The Ohio native and high 4-star recently picked up an Ohio State offer and may be the #1 linebacker on their board. He's someone Tosh covets. Kahlio Vaetoe: Defensive Lineman - The three-star NorCal native has offers from Cal, USC, and Utah, among others. Fui Vakapuna: Edge - A three-star from Utah, Vakapuna doesn't yet have the offer list of some other Edges that Cal is pursuing, but he's a high upside playerBraylen Ross: Wide Receiver - The lanky 6'4 San Diego product may grow into a Tight End. He's a 3-StarLucas Rhoa: Offensive Lineman - The 3-star interior OL from Orange County has a 5-star offer list as he's been offered by every blueblood program in the nationEvan Mack: Cornerback - Yet another long cover corner at 6'4, Mack has 4-Stars and Cal wants the Crean Lutheran productElyjah Staples: Athlete - A two-way stud who could play TE, LB, and even Safety. The three star is rising up recruiting boards fastMalachi McFarland: Running Back - He's not the biggest but he may well be the fastest RB on the West Coast. McFarland really likes Cal and could pull the trigger soonIsaac Cook: Wide Receiver - A bit of a sleeper despite massive production at Cathedral Catholic in San Diego. Cook's not big nor super fast but he's elusive, strong and just a good football player. If the Bears push him, he could commit this weekend.Caden Jones: Quarterback - Another Crean Lutheran product, it's unclear where Jones sits on the Bears' priority list at QB but he has a Cal offerCalvin Moala: Offensive Lineman - A bruising three star product with a mean streak, Moala is already 300lbs+. He favors Utah and Cal at the moment.Others:Chase Young: Cornerback - The long De La Salle product has a Stanford offer and is hoping to get one from the Bears.Deshaun Jackson: Offensive Line - the Liberty Ranch product is also looking for a Cal offer

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Bear Insider rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Bear Insider Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Bear Insider readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Cal and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Cal and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
