Cal Football Spring Practice Day 8: Pads, Refs and Scrimmaging

March 9, 2019

The storm clouds parted for enough time for a rain-free practice this afternoon in Memorial Stadium on day eight of spring practice Saturday.

It was the first full-contact practice of the spring, as the Bears rotated between drill and full-contact 11-on-11 situations throughout the practice session.

The defense had the definitive edge today, as running backs were not able to find much room to run and the QBs were under pressure fairly often behind occasional makeshift lines as they continue to rotate players with starters Michael Saffel and Valentino Daltoso out for the spring from regular contact as they continue to heal from offseason medical procedures.
