Monty Bowser is Ready to Bring His Competitive Spirit to Berkeley

It’s taken Monty Bowser a few years to get used to the sometimes frantic nature of the Bay Area. But now that he’s feeling more settled, he’s ready to stay awhile and rebuild a Cal men’s hoops program that has been bottom-feeders in the Pac-12 the previous two seasons. 

“Cal was always at the top of my list. When I lived in North Carolina, too, but even more since I’ve been out here,” Bowser said on a phone call.
