The Bears took to the field in the second practice of their abbreviated bye week practice session before the coaches hit the road on the recruiting trail this weekend.

Bye weeks are usually used to fine tune elements of the offense and defense and also give youger players a chance to shine in practice.

“Normal bye week stuff, working on fundamental things developmental guys,” said Baldwin this weeks sessions.

One of the biggest plusses regarding the timing of the bye week is the critical time off to get back some key players, especially on the offensive side of the ball, presumably receiver Kekoa Crawford and center Mike Saffell -two key elements of the Bears’ offense.
