Tuesday Practice Report: Garbers and Brown Big Game Status Undetermined

November 19, 2019

After running back Chris Brown and quarterback Chase Garbers went down to injuries early in the first half of Cal's loss to USC Saturday, their potential to return for the Big Game remains undetermined right now.

Both players started off strong, with Brown gaining 28 yards in just two carries before a helmet to the chin knocked him out of the game with a presumed concussion. Garbers went just 4-for-10, though several on-target throws were dropped by Cal receivers.

Following Garbers’ second quarter departure on an injury suffered after an 11-yard first down run, backup QB Devon Modster came on in relief of Garbers.
