Report Card: Cal vs Stanford

We knew heading into Thursday night’s Pac-12 opener the Cal Golden Bears would struggle to score against Stanford’s defense and would need to ugly up the game to keep it close. For the first 18 or 19 minutes of the game, the Bears did just that. Unfortunately, a mini 5-0 run to close the first half extended the Cardinal lead to double-digits and Cal wasn’t able to close the gap in the second half.

It took Stanford nearly four minutes to score its first points.
