Report Card: Cold Shooting Strikes Again

February 14, 2020

For the first 26 minutes of Cal’s game against Arizona on February 13th, the Bears played almost exactly the way they needed to to hang close. Each time the Wildcats jumped out to a five to nine-point lead, Cal stayed composed and knocked down the necessary shots to keep the game close. The Bears also got some stops and timely turnovers.

But with the score at 33-32 at the 14-minute mark in the second half, the dam busted. Zeke Nnaji made a shot under the basket, Paris Austin through the ball out-of-bounds at the other end, and Nnaji made another turn-around jumper to extend the lead to 37-32.
