Hyder's Transfer Gives Bears Backcourt Much-Needed Boost

When Cal men's basketball picked up a transfer from Fresno State combo guard Jarred Hyder‍, the Bears' backcourt added an important piece to help them potentially compete for the top half of the conference -if eligible in 2020-21.

Originally from San Bernandino, Hyder played his freshman season at Fresno State where he was fifth on the team averaging 9.1 points in just under 32 minutes per game. Hyder shot 38% from the field including 30.2% from three but also shot 83.
