Bears Get Early Jump With Offer to Edwards

The Bears extended an offer last week to 2023 Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA) High School RB/LB Tre Edwards. The 6-1/220 rising soph’s recruitment is off to a fast start, with early offers already from nearly half the Pac-12 with Cal, USC, ASU, Colorado and Oregon State.

Edwards’ lead recruiter has been running backs coach Aristotle Thompson but others on staff have gotten involved as well.

“The communication’s been great with Cal,” said Edwards.
