Cal could have a football game to play this weekend,. after all. The Pac-12 canceled both the Bears game at ASU and the Utah-UCLA matchup.

According to sources both Cal and UCLA were cleared to play, it was the situations at ASU and Utah that caused the cancellations  The Pac-12 was said to be looking into the possibility of Cal and UCLA playing one another this weekend. If that game is held it would on Sunday.

Because Cal was supposed to be on the road this weekend and UCLA at home, the most likely site is the Rose Bowl.

Cal’s game against Washington last weekend was canceled because a member of the Bears’ defensive line tested positive for COVID-19 and several players, including the entire defensive line position group, was placed in quarantine by the City of Berkeley. But it has been reported that the Bears were given the go-ahead to play this weekend.

For a while it looked as if the Huskies game against Oregon State this weekend would also be called off, In that case, the Pac-12 might have arranged a Huskies-Bears matchup. But OSU-UW has been given the all-clear and will take place as scheduled.
