Akin to the rest of the sophomore class, D.J. Thorpe’s off-season development was — and will continue — to influence Cal hoops’ on-court success. And like Kuany Kuany, who we reviewed last week, Thorpe didn’t see that leap forward. While the forward saw his shooting efficiency increase, his defense left quite a bit desired, and the result was Thorpe seeing his average minutes cut from 7.8 minutes per game to 5.3 this season.
