2024 WR/CB Marshel Sanders Talks Cal Visit
6-1/190 Clovis West WR/CB Marshel Sanders was one of several 2024 Cal offerees on campus for Saturday's Spring Showcase with his parents and enjoyed every minute of his trip to Berkeley from the Fresno area Saturday.
“The visit to Cal was great!” said Sanders. “The campus and its history were all awesome to see and hear about. The facilities were amazing! The coaching staff is lit. They were very attentive and you can tell how excited they were to have me on campus. They knew exactly who I was when I got there.”
The scrimmage was a hit for the 3 star athlete, too.
“The spring game was cool,” said Sanders. The WR corps is nice! The atmosphere was great, too. It almost seemed like a Saturday game with the crowd and the food! I had to get me a hot dog, too.”
As a sophomore, Sanders led Clovis West with an impressive 63 catches for 1028 yards and eight TDs on offense and 75 tackles, one interception, one sack and one fumble recovery. The Bears are recruiting the versatile athlete at receiver.
Sanders is a member of the KT Prep Elite 7x7 squad which current Bears Nate Rutchena, Lu-Magia Hearns and incoming tight end Jack Endries were a part of as prep players.
The soph currently holds early offers from Cal, Colorado State and Massachusetts but expect that list to rapidly expand.
