Cardwell Feeling the Love at Cal

Portal transfer running back Byron Cardwell was a high-priority recruit three years ago as a prep player from San Diego -a battle the Bears narrowly lost to Oregon in 2020.

Even though the Bears didn’t win out for the talented 6-0/210 running back, the relationship established with Cal running backs coach Aristotle Thompson eventually paid dividends after Cardwell went into the portal.
