Bears Add UW Portal Transfer Wide Receiver Taj Davis
The Bears added one of their top WR targets in Washington junior portal transfer Taj Davis after his official visit last weekend. The 6-2/190 will have two years of eligibility remaining.
After signing with Washington in 2019 out of Upland High School as a high 3 star receiver with additional offers from Cal, Stanford, UCLA and more, Davis redshirted his first season in Seattle. At Upland, Davis had 110 receptions for 2,239 yards and 23 touchdowns in three seasons along with two punt return TDs his senior season.
Davis opted out of the 2020 covid season and started six games as a redshirt frosh in 2021, scoring is first TD against Cal and having his biggest game of the season against Michigan with eight catches for 78 yards at Ann Arbor.
In 2022, Davis played in all 13 games, adding 21 catches for 277 yards and 3 TDs on the season. He will come in to compete to start on the outside at Cal this fall.
