Post Spring Unit Breakdown - The Inside Linebackers

The Wilcox/DeRuyter/Sirmon defensive system has been built around a front five that can occupy blockers to allow their inside linebackers to read, react and make tackles.  Cal was blessed to have two exceptional talents in Evan Weaver and Jordan Kunaszyk early in the Wilcox era.  Those two set the standard that has subsequently been hard to meet.  In 2023, there’s an opportunity for this group to live up to those two greats.
