Had the chance for a nice sitdown with Madsen to talk about his hoops career, how he got into coaching, his new staff and his thoughts on the portal and frosh additions and their returning players. He definitely appreciates the volume of Cal hoops supporters and donors we have here at BI, not to mention BG and Sebastabear's involvement in Cal Legends and the NIL collective.

I hope he succeeds here (certainly seems like he will), and if so, I hope he stays. Seems like he's gotten over being snubbed by Cal as a recruit, which is such a shame. What a coup it would have been to have him as our own this whole time.

I just finished listening to the podcast. I couldn't help but think how Mark Fox never once did something like this in 4 years, and Madsen already did it before coaching a single game!

Fox wouldn't even let his assistants be interviewed. Really just a horrible hire. So glad he is gone.
