2023 Post Regular Season Position Unit Reviews - Defense

Defensive Tackle:

This was a unit where more was expected than was produced in 2023. For the first time in quite a while, there was experienced dept at the defensive line position. Cal played the vast majority of their snaps with only two DL on the field and on occasion went to formations without any DL.  That depth was needed as injuries were a factor throughout the season from the beginning of the season.
