I wonder which Cal Bears are already in this Hall.

One article I found from 2020 said Ron Rivera and Tony Gonzalez made the 2021 ballot. But neither player appears in the College HOF player search engine https://www.cfbhall.com/inductees/

The aforementioned article added:
Cal has many former players in the College Football Hall of Fame including OL Stan Barnes, QB Steve Bartkowski, HB Vic Bottari, HB Sam Chapman, OL Ron Franz, OL Walter Gordon, LB Matt Hazeltine, OL Bob Herwig, OL Edwin Horrell, FB Jackie Jensen, QB Joe Kapp, OL Dan McMillan, QB Craig Morton, end Harold Muller, OL Les Richter and DL Ed White.

Only 2 in the Pro Football HOF
Les Richter
Tony Gonzalez

Here, all listed by college:
https://www.profootballhof.com/hall-of-famers/colleges/

Thus, only 1 bear made both HOFs - and I never heard of him. How about that?

That's about to change!

I once had the pleasure of meeting Les Richter. When we shook hands, I got the impression he could easily have crushed my hand, had he wanted to. Me or most anybody else.

You never heard of Les Richter? The Rams traded 11 players to get him, which I believe is still an NFL record. BTW, he was also valedictorian of his class at Cal.

And, in the department of disconnect: Richter would go on after his football days to be a big deal in racing, helping it grow in SoCal, and actually was a big deal at NASCAR...

That's when I met him. I believe he was president of Riverside Raceway or something like that. This was in the late 1970s.
