The Bears hosted a talented group of 2026 recruits and a 2025 commit in their big 44-7 win over Oregon State on Saturday and the reviews are strong from the Bears’ targets.

3 star 2025 Archbishop Riordan Cal commit OLB John Tofi Jr‍

“My trip to Cal this weekend was great!,” Tofi Jr said. “I really enjoyed watching the game on Saturday, being there with my family and especially with it ending in a blowout win was fantastic! I met with some of the coaches and players before and after the game. I really enjoy the coaching staff and players at Cal. They make me feel comfortable being with them and it’s like I’m already on the team. Something that stood out to me was the bond and team chemistry that they have. The way they get along with each other very good and how they always make sure that they are on top of their stuff stood out to me.”

4 star 2026 Archbishop Riordan OL Tommy Tofi‍

“I had a great time at Cal,” Tofi said. “Especially since I was with my brothers and dad. The team looked really good and I’m happy they got a good win after some tough losses. I had a great time meeting with Coach Wilcox and Coach Bloesch before and after the game. We hung out in the locker room a little and then with the coaches after the game so that was really fun. The coaching staff always treats our family like family and that is very important to me. I hope to make it to one more home game.”

4 star 2026 Narbonne edge Keytrin Harris‍

“It was great,” said Harris of the visit. “I took an unofficial and I learned a lot about the campus at Cal. It has so much history to it. The game was good. The defense only let up 7 points. That’s a great team win,  44-7. The coaches were all on the same page. I love how they treated me like family as soon as I stepped foot on campus.”

3 star 2026 De La Salle DL Nemyah Telona

“I had a good experience at the game,” Telona said. “Watching Cal play was fun and seeing how active their d-line was and how strong they are was great to see. Overall, they looked really good out there on the field and it was a pleasure being there.”

3 star 2026 Valley Christian OT Terrence Johnson

“The trip was great,” Johnson said. “It was a good game and the fans created a great environment. The coaches and staff were great and made me feel welcomed.”

2026 Lone Star-Frisco DE Christopher Knauls Jr‍

“Cal was really good,” Knauls said. “I had a great time meeting all the coaches and I also had a great conversation with the d-line coach, Coach Browning and Coach Marcus (Griffin) took me on a campus tour showing me the facilities and around campus. One thing that stood out to me was the vibes of Cal. It’s much different from Texas because that’s where I’m from. The game went great. Cal dominated the whole game and played physical, too.”

3 star 2026 Buchanan-Clovis CB Donovan Dunmore

“The trip to Cal was great,” Dunmore said. “I love the weather up there. The game was great, I didn’t get to talk to the coaches but the recruiters are nice and very friendly and they knew my name and talked to me, which is something Michigan didn’t do.”

3 star 2026 Santa Margarita Catholic CB Jayden Crowder‍

“The trip to Cal was great,” Crowder said. “The coaches did a great job organizing the facilities and campus tours. One thing that caught my eye while watching the game was how fast and physical the team played and I loved it. The coaches were amazing and took the time to explain their philosophies on the game and answer all the questions I had for them. Everyone in the building was welcoming and easy to communicate with. They’re definitely building something over there in Berkeley!”

The Bears are on a bye week this week and will return to action on Friday at 5 pm at Wake Forest.
