Stadden Named ACC Women's Swimmer Of The Week
California senior Isabelle Stadden has been named the ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Stadden broke a pair of Spieker Aquatics Complex records that she previously held last week, including a 50.26 in the 100-yard backstroke during the No. 10 Golden Bears' dual meet victory over No. 18 USC that matched her personal best. Stadden also set a new facility mark in the 200-yard backstroke with a 1:49.96 against the Trojans.
Both times rank No. 6 in the nation this season and on Cal's all-time events list.
Stadden also won the 100-yard butterfly during the Bears' victory over No. 24 UCLA with a time of 52.19 and was part of three relay victories over the two meets.
Stadden was previously named ACC Women's Co-Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 12.
Cal has now secured three weekly conference honors this season. Freshman Mary-Ambre Moluh was also named ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week on Dec. 10.
The Bears close out the regular season Feb. 1 at No. 3 Stanford.
