I'd assume that the player madsen is talking about is Aidan Mahaney. Mahaney is getting no significant minutes on UCONN and maybe this is the year we see him at Cal

To coach Madsen's point on NIL support, I think it's important to note that with the BPS foundation ceasing to exists as of December none of the other collectives will be continuing to exist illegally with 501c3 status. I feel confident the legends collective will only continue to gradually garner more support whereas the other "big boys" who were getting write off donations will take a big hit this year. It's now apples to apples and we win in that scenario. Not to sound like a ***** but our alumni has more to play with. And when you take away the ability of others to pay student athletes with tax deductible donations from Joe Bob's ford Lincoln mercury; we dominate 10 times out of 10.
Also thank you to coach madsen for getting t'd up every now and again. That talk he gave the team at the end of regulation v Miami clearly made the difference in OT; and having his players introduce themselves during open practice as well as a few other little things I've noticed this year and last show that he is the right person to lead young men whether on a basketball court, a classroom, wherever.
