GREEN BAY, Wisc. – California defensive back Craig Woodson was selected 106th overall in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots on Saturday.
Woodson is the 248th Golden Bear to be chosen in the NFL Draft all-time, and becomes the 26th Cal defensive back to be selected in the draft.
Over the course of his 46-game career at Cal, Woodson tallied 245 tackles, 21 passes defended, nine tackles for loss, five interceptions, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Woodson, a third-team All-ACC safety as a redshirt senior, was one of three Bears with 70 or more tackles in 2024. He also finished the 2024 campaign tied for fourth in the ACC in pass breakups (9) and tied for sixth in the conference in passes defended (11).
Woodson was named to the All-ACC Preseason second team by multiple outlets entering his senior year after finishing the 2023 season with a career high 81 tackles, five passes defended, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and an interception.
