Cal will have a lot of new faces in the back eight of the defense, with the big boys up front sporting more familiar faces. As a result, this is a group that will be asked to be the unquestioned leaders of the 2025 Defense.

Winning the line of scrimmage has become a mantra for College Football teams and much like the Offensive line sets the tone for that side of the ball, the big boys up front on Defense do much the same for their side.   Cal lost but one key contributor from the 2024 group and has an abundance of veteran experience, making this unit the unquestioned leaders of the Bears defense.
