Bears Gear Up For 3rd Official Visits Weekend

After two successful recruiting weekends, the Bears are prepping to host another big group of visitors this weekend at Memorial.

The first two recruiting weekends have yielded stellar results, with five of the visitors committing the first weekend, including QB Brady Palmer‍, RB Victor Santino‍, OT Tommy Tofi‍, OL Elisha Faamatuainu‍ and DT Nemyah Telona‍ and another four from last weekend, including WR EJ Morgan‍, TE Taimane Purcell‍, IOL Koloi Keli‍ and DE Frank Fanua‍.

This weekend will see another two committed and seven uncommitted recruits on campus, including:

Camron Brooks‍ 6-4/230 edge Thomas County Central HS (Thomasville, GA) - The 4 star edge was one of Cal’s highest rated commits in years when he chose the Bears in April over Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, LSU, Auburn and more.  The 4 star edge helped lead his squad to a state championship as a soph in 2023, leading his team in sacks with 8.5. He added 20 QB hurries, 4 sacks and 6.5 TFL as a junior.

Deon Jackson‍ 5-10/165 CB/NB Long Beach Poly - The 3 star DB was one of the Bears’ early commits, joining the Bears’ 2026 class in February a few days after his unofficial visit to Cal. As a junior, Jackson totaled 29 tackles, 9 passes defended, 1 interception and one forced fumble, As a 2023 soph, Jackson added 30 tackles, 1 QB hurry, 5 TFLs and 2 passes defended for the Jackrabbits.

Rocky Cummings‍ 6-4/220 ATH (TE/LB) Carlsbad HS (Carlsbad, CA) - The 3 star, 2-way Carlsbad athlete totaled 29 tackles, 4.5 TFL, and 3 sacks in 7 games as a junior at linebacker after missing 5 games with an illness. On offense at tight end, Cummings added a TD catch. He holds offers from Utah, Minnesota, Boston College, BYU, Arizona and more. Cummings took an OV to BC last weekend.

Kamo'i Huihui-White‍ 6-4/290 St. Louis Honolulu IOL -The 3 star interior lineman is rated the #4 IOL in Hawaii by 247 and holds offers from Oregon, Washington, Utah, SMU, ASU, Nebraska and more.

Nainoa Lopes‍ 6-4/195 QB St. Louis/Honolulu - The 3 star QB picked up an offer from Cal in late May. As a junior, Lopes had 19 TDs and 8 INT for 2,055 yards along with 187 yards on the ground and 3 additional TDs.

Ernest Nunley 6-1/180 CB Western HS (Anaheim, CA) - The 3 star cornerback put up 26 tackles, 2 INTs, and 10 passes defended as a junior for Narbonne HS before transferring. And as a soph. Nunley had 28 tackles, 3 INTs, and 1 fumble recovered. He also holds offers from UCLA, Wake Forest, Arizona, Boise State and more.

Kingston Schirmer‍ 6-3/280 DT Corona Centennial - The 3 star DL holds offers from Washington, Washington State, Arizona State, San Diego State and more. As a junior, Schirmer had 20 tackles, 1 TFL and 1 INT playing for Damien High School in La Verne before transferring to Centennial.

Brandon Smith 6-0/185 RB/WR Central East HS (Fresno, CA) - The 3 star, 2-way athlete is a do-everything player for Central East, lining up at wide receiver with Cal commit EJ Morgan‍ or in the backfield. As a junior, Smith had 1,871 yards on the ground and 25 TDs at running back, 31 catches for 354 yards and TDs through the air. On defense, Smith had 71 tackles, 12.5 TFL, 2 sacks, 2 INTs, 4 passes defended, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery returned for a TD. Morgan was also a star on the track, putting up times of 10.67 in the 100, 21.52 in the 200 and 46.83 in the 400.

Esaiah Wong‍ 6-5/270 OT Kailua HS (Kailua, HA) - The 3 star OT has offers from Washington, UCLA, Utah, Nebraska, BYU, SMU and more. This weekend will be Wong’s first OV, with one more schedule for next weekend at BYU.
