6-5/300 Notre Dame portal transfer Tyson Ford‍ is the second of two former highly-touted prep recruits who transferred from South Bend to Cal in the past two seasons a year after senior defensive tackle Aidan Keanaaina transferred to Cal and had a standout season for the Bears in 2024.

Ford was a 4 star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN.com and a two-time First team All-State defensive end (2021, 2020). In his senior season, he totaled 58 tackles, 19 tackles-for-loss and 11 sacks.
