Great episode! I love the X's and O's analysis. Coach JW (and Paws) seemed very high on our D performance at all three levels against Minnesota. Stinking State has a talented QB (former national champion at Michigan) who runs a tempo offense with a lot of RPO, and our defensive challenge is to shut it down. I don't think we've played a tempo offense yet this season. On D they send a lot of people at the QB from all angles.
Every time I see us favored by a large spread against a legit D1opponent, I get nervous. With our team coming off a big win, and reading a lot of sunshine-pumping in the press this week, this feels like a trap game to me. Stinking State is playing at home, coming off a bye week, with a desire to wash out the bad taste left by a disappointing loss to Wazzu the prior week. They always get up for (former) P12 teams in CA. And they run two systems (O and D) that our younger players haven't seen much of yet. I never bet but if I were betting the spread, I think I take Stinking State and the points.
Anyway, this is worth your watch, even if you don't have time to watch it all at once.
