Ole Miss Corner Ricky Fletcher Likes What He Sees at Cal
The Bears hit paydirt over the weekend, scoring commitments from both of their big cornerback targets who visit last week, picking up Georgia cornerback Daniel Harris and Ole Miss corner Ricky Fletcher.
A 6-3/200 junior, Fletcher, as well as Harris, gives the Bears the type of long and athletic cover corner they covet.
After starting out at South Alabama Fletcher totaled 38 tackles along with 12 passes defended and 1 fumble recovery in his redshirt frosh season before transferring to Ole Miss. After missing 2024 with an injury, Fletcher added 11 tackles and 2 pass breakups for the Rebels, playing in 14 games and starting in 3.
Fletcher talked about what made the Bears the best fit for him in the portal.
“Just the opportunity to come in and be a part of something special with this new coaching staff,” Fletcher said. “And the relationship I have with the staff is great. They’re high energy guys that I know will push me to be the best me and that’s what I’ve wished for.”
